The Bank of Baroda Limited - Golden Jubilees (1908-1958)
Sheth Haribhakti had a banking firm in Poona (now called Pune) in the times of Peshwas. The following historical notings have been found from certain official records:-
Commercial and industrial activities in the l880s created a demand for credit in Baroda. Since resources were limited, the Baroda government decided to create an official source of institutional finance.
